STUFFED FRENCH TOAST


 
1 pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 loaf soft French bread
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 c. milk
 
Beat 1 package cream cheese, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 3/4 teaspoon sugar. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Cut 1 loaf soft French bread into 10 slices, cut slit in each slice and fill with cream cheese mixture.Beat 4 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Dip bread into batter and cook in pan until brown. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top and serve with favorite fruit sauce.
