Spinach Onion Dip

Still a very popular appetizer, serve this nostalgic flavored dip with assorted crackers, chips or a variety of vegetables to relive some favorite memories. 

1 envelope (about 1 ounce) dry onion  soup and recipe mix

1 container (16 ounces) sour cream 
1 package (about 10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
1/3 cups chopped toasted almonds  (optional)
crackers, chips or fresh vegetables

Stir the soup mix, sour cream, spinach and almonds, if desired, in a medium bowl.  Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.  Serve with the crackers for dipping.

TIP Tip: To thaw the spinach, microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes, breaking apart with a fork halfway through heating.
